A DREAM BORN FROM ADVERSITY
Emanuel, founder of Info-Jeunes Canada, had a childhood marked by challenges. Born into a family of three children, he was placed in a youth centre, where he often felt a deep sense of isolation. In search of freedom and stability, he ran away several times, ending up living on the streets. These difficult experiences opened his eyes to the obstacles that young people in difficulty face, including the lack of resources and support.
Despite the challenges, Emanuel found the strength to continue. He obtained his high school equivalency diploma while juggling various jobs to support himself. But his real dream was to create a project that would give young people the tools to take back control of their lives. In 1999, this dream became reality with the creation of Info-Jeunes+, an initiative designed to support young people in difficulty and offer them concrete solutions for their future.
